Show Info:
It follows the transformation of one woman as she tackles stereotypes and scandal in pursuit of her dreams. Action-packed and exploding with memorable songs and dynamic dances - this musical is so much fun, it should be illegal!
She appears to have it all. Her life is turned upside down when her boyfriend dumps her so he can attend Harvard Law. Determined to get him back, she ingeniously charms her way into the prestigious law school. While there, she struggles with peers, professors and her ex. With the support of some new friends, though, she quickly realizes her potential and sets out to prove herself to the world.

ROUND ONE - AUDITION APPLICATION/VIDEO
STEP 1: Record ONE MINUTE of a SONG, preferably one that matches the style of the musical we are doing or is like the character you would like to play. Song should be memorized (or at least we should not be able to tell you are looking at a script). Maintain the character throughout the song, have a clear focal point, and keep in mind what the character wants/needs (aka play the objective). Start the video with a slate (your name and name of song you will sing).
STEP 2: Complete the Google form Cast Application (link below) and submit by 4pm on Wednesday, December 10, including a link to your audition video (Link can be to a private YouTube channel or your Google drive, .mp4 or .mov files are best).
ROUND TWO - DANCE AUDITIONS
In-person dance auditions will take place in the LHHS theater on Wednesday, December 10, from 4-6:30pm.Familiarize yourself with the music before the audition; a dance audition video will be posted soon. Please learn the dance before auditions.

ROUND 3 - IN-PERSON AUDITIONS
In-person auditions will take place on Thursday, December 11, 4-6pm. Expect to cold read from the script and sing a song from the show. Listen to the soundtrack to familiarize yourself with the music from the show, if you don’t already know it.
Please note that during auditions, you might also be asked to sing a round (such as “Row, Row, Row Your Boat”) with a group of 3-4 other students to test your ability to hold harmonies.
ROUND 4 - CALLBACKS (in-person, by invitation)
Callbacks will take place on Friday, December 13, 4-6:30pm. This part of the audition is done in groups of people being considered for a certain part and is by invitation only. Plan to stay the entire time for which you are called.
Note: If you have a conflict with this schedule, please contact Mrs. Lord. You will be notified of the results regardless of whether you are cast in the show or not.
