Year-long Elective Drama Classes

Year-long Technical Theater and Design
If you want to learn more about the behind-the-scenes aspect of theater, this class is for you. This hands-on Stagecraft course teaches set design and construction, scenic painting, props, costuming, make-up, and technical theater (including lighting, sound, and more). |
Semester-long and Extra-Curricular

Our Director
Susan Lord is in her 31st year at Laguna Hills High School, the last fifteen of which have been at the helm of the theatre department. She has also taught English and PE and coached swimming and water polo. She was honored as one of Orange County's Teacher of the Year candidates in 2013 and has happily accepted MACY trophies for many of our recent musicals, including the prestigious Spirit of the MACY Award for Nice Work If You Can Get It.
Mrs. Lord completed her Master's degree in Technical Theater Production and Design at Southern Oregon University. She loves working with the students at Laguna Hills and values the incredible support from parents, colleagues and administration. But what she's most proud of and thankful for is her amazing family.
