If you are enrolled in the 8th period class (per your request), you are expected to attend. Optional for the rest of you, but strongly encouraged! If you have any questions, see Mrs. Lord in Room 204 or email her at [email protected].
----------------------------------------------
Everyone auditioning must complete Steps 1 & 2. Step 3 is by invitation only.
STEP 1: Complete the Google form Cast Application (CLICK HERE) and submit by 11:59pm on September 4, 2023.
STEP 2: If you are interested in a lead role, prepare a 1-2 minute comedic monologue, preferably one that matches the style of the play we are doing or is like the character you would like to play. Monologue should be memorized. Maintain the character throughout the monologue, have a clear focal point, and keep in mind what the character wants/needs (aka play the objective). For ensemble and supporting roles, just show up, and we'll do a cold (unrehearsed) reading and/or improvised scenes.
STEP 3: Callbacks - SEPTEMBER 7, 2023
If you are invited to a callback, expect to cold read from the script. No need to prepare anything. This part of the audition is done in groups of people being considered for a certain part, and is by invitation only. Plan to stay the entire time for which you are called.
You will be notified of the results regardless of whether you are cast in the show or not.
